Artist's Description
The annual Independence Day fireworks held by Dorney Park were put on display by full moonlight in 2020. This vivid photo captures several firework explosions occurring directly in front of the full moon.
Every year the show draws thousands of people from around the region into the park and surrounding areas to witness the show. In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic has the park shut down, but the show must go on as they say. Dorney Park continued with the fireworks show and allowed cars to park in the parking lot for a small fee that went to a local charity.
My family and many others take our seats around Broadway which offers a nice elevated view of the show that takes place in a small valley below. The moon was behind just enough cloud cover to allow for perfect exposure alongside the fireworks.
