Artist's Description

Looking west on Jordan Creek towards the setting sun on an early May evening. The covered bridge at Covered Bridge park crosses the creek up stream. The water level is quite low, giving us a rare look down the center of the creek. The clouds are very hazy but light on this night, scattering the suns light into various shades of yellow, orange and magenta, which are reflected on the flowing stream below.

Wehr's Covered Bridge was built in 1841 and lies along Wehr's Mill Road. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the bridge continues to carry small vehicles across the Jordan Creek to this date, with weight and height restrictions. During the holidays, the bridge is decorated with Christmas lights and decorations, which I have images available as well!
