An arrangement of rain-wet orange day lilies and pink shrub roses on ponding water. Perfect lighting conditions allowed for a near perfect mirror reflection on the water.
Our patio floods just about every time we get a lot of heavy rain and this afternoon was no exception as huge amount of rain dumped on the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. The day lilies started blooming last week and the shrub roses have been blooming for about one month. I wanted to get a reflection photograph with the water and these vibrant and colorful flowers were a natural choice. In the background is a small pond lined with the leaves of more orange day lily plants.
