Description
Signs of the approaching Spring in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The top of this Douglas Fir is a very popular perch for many of the area's small birds. I love photographing birds here because the sky provides a stark blue backdrop. I have a bunch of photos of House Finches, so I wanted to do something extra with this one. The image has been cropped to isolate the bird and his perch. A textured blue background has overlaid the blue sky, providing a more dramatic background for this often dramatic bird ;)
