Description

While shooting a sunset at Wehr's Dam, I noticed this young blue heron on the other side of the Jordan Creek. I haven't had a chance to photograph a blue heron in a couple years, so I turned my camera from the sky to the bird for a few shots. Light was fading, but these birds stand so still that I was able to get a long exposure shot with a longer lens that provided enough light for the bird and also provided silky touch to the water falling over the dam.
